Chemical and Hazardous Waste

EH&S provides chemical hazardous waste pick up and disposal services on a re-charge basis. To request pick up of the hazardous waste, access the EH&S website at http://ehs.ucdavis.edu/hazwaste/pickup_req/chmdspfo.cfm for the on-line pick up request form. Make sure all hazardous waste is picked up from the lab within 9 months of the accumulation start date. EH&S recommends a pick up every 90 days.

All chemical hazardous waste must be labeled with a hazardous waste label. The approved label is available at http://ehs.ucdavis.edu/ftpd/wastelbl.doc. Improper management of waste - exceeding accumulation times, improper labeling, etc. - may result in fines from Yolo County Environmental Health.
